Jack Hughes scores OT winner to push devils past senators

Jack Hughes won overtime, as Sunday Ottawa defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-3.

Hughes' sixth goal of the season took less than a minute in the extra period.

Nico Hishie and Nikita Gusev both had powerful goals for the devils (13-19-6), while Miles Wood led them 3–2 in the second break.

Thomas Shabo, who left the bench for several minutes after being hit with his right hand, scored a long-range shot from 15: 2 at the third point, sending the game overtime for Ottawa (16-18-5). )

Nick Paul and Artem Anisimov had dual goals in the second period for Senators.

Mackenzie Blackwood made 21 saving throws in a winning effort for New Jersey, while Craig Anderson stopped 30 shots for Ottawa.
